Bot token, scoped to channels you name — 3 minutes.

  1. Go to api.slack.com/apps → Create New App → From scratch. Name it Bilazann, pick your workspace.
  2. Open OAuth & Permissions → Bot Token Scopes and click to add these four: channels:history, channels:read, groups:history, groups:read.
  3. Scroll up and click Install to Workspace → Allow.
  4. Copy the Bot User OAuth Token (starts with xoxb-).
  5. Tell us exactly which channels to read — we never auto-join or read anything you haven’t named.

Bot tokens don’t expire on a timer. They only stop working if the app’s removed, revoked, or its scopes change — so this is a one-time setup, not something you’ll redo.
